Lockdown film-making

New work is still possible during lockdown. We've been doing some filming - although much reduced - but are lucky to hold a really strong archive for many of our long-standing clients.

Add this to new material self-shot on smartphones and there are lots of great films to be made.

This approach worked particularly well for Specialist Aviation Services, which pimps up helicopters to make air ambulances / police helicopters etc.

SAS wanted a film to show that the country's air ambulances were still flying and, as 100% charity funded, still needed public support.

10 years of SAS archive provided the backbone of the film, along with new smartphone footage from the air ambulance organisations and their fundraisers.

We discussed adding a key interview with the client CEO, conducted over Skype and screen-captured, but decided against it in order to prioritise the imagery.

Check out the final film above, which passed 5,000 views on Linkedin in just a few days, and a message from a happy client.

'Honestly I couldn't be happier. The whole company has been given a lift. The power of moving images. Looking forward to the next assignment!'

Luke Farajallah, CEO Specialist Aviation Services
