OMX it's good!

Seven years ago, Beeston Media was lucky enough to be making films about the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus when it was still a vision.

Last night, I got to see just how far that vision has come. I spent a fascinating evening touring OMX, the impressive new facility that has launched as part of Science Creates. It is yet another brilliant milestone for our region's startups and a crucial piece of the puzzle for the wider Bristol Temple Quarter regeneration. Seeing it come to life reinforces why this area is one of the most exciting, entrepreneur-friendly ecosystems in Europe.

We heard some brilliant insights from Marty Reid and Ashley Brewer on how physical infrastructure like this unlocks potential for deep tech startups. And thank you to Ben Hetherington for his talk on outreach and letting us loose on the microscopes.

I could not resist capturing a bit of the evening on my phone. Please excuse the quick iMovie edit, but as I am always telling researchers and founders, authentic user-generated content is a fantastic way to start building your origin story. You don't need a full production crew to start sharing your journey, especially when you are just trying to survive a summer heatwave.

A huge thank you to Lydia Green for the invite to such an inspiring evening. It is wonderful to see the city continuing to build the spaces that match its world-class tech ambitions.
