Multi-media project for University of Bristol's Cabot Institute for the Environment to promote the launch of their new 3 year strategy.

We've worked with Cabot for over 10 years on multiple projects and this was the most ambitious yet. The brief was to produce 6x short films to showcase the institute's research themes and 1x hero film (above) to spearhead the PR push.

We suggested teaming up with renowned street artist HazardOne to art direct the films and to produce a standalone artwork to encapsulate Cabot's mission. Hazard produced compound master images for each theme which we then expanded into animated 60 secs films.

Further project output

The new strategy was launched at the Cabot Institute's Annual Lecture in Bristol's Wills Memorial Great Hall. We were there to film proceedings too.

See below for one of the theme films, the main lecture film and also a social media short with HazardOne in the design phase.

It is always a delight working with the Beeston team to co-create content for our audiences and for this huge and diverse project it was a no-brainer. We needed the video outputs to be very different to what we have had before and Penny's impressive creative direction, coupled alongside Hazard0ne's bold designs, really made our videos stand out. The whole team went over and beyond what we briefed them to do, even helping us to get three huge canvases based on the videos and made by Hazard0ne, set up ready for our Annual Lecture and private reception to launch our new strategy with the movers and shakers of the city present. The videos went down very well with them and they have made our website much more engaging. A big thanks to the whole Beeston team for pulling off what seemed like an impossible project!
